ILEX MEDICAL (TASE:ILX) announces that Capsivit a biotech company whose share are 56% controlled by ILEX MEDICAL was awarded the patent for the de-Esterification of the Capsantin and other Caretenoids from Paprika, thus making them bio-available. The research which started close to 4 years ago was conducted by Prof. J. Kanner and Prof. A. Levy of the Israeli institute of Agricultural research (Volcani institute).
This is a very significant milestone for our company, as the use of natural caretenoids, as anti oxidant anti aging factors, are much in demand for food supplements, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and feed industries.
The company intends to go into pre production toward the end of 2004.
